My name is Frances and I write stuff.
No, I'm not a wordsmith so there'll be none of that BS, third-person garbage here. I'm a writer, artist, and content strategist with a background in online and traditional print publishing. In addition to being the former senior editor for Punkin House Press, I was a weekend editor for Defy Media at Mommyish (one of Time Magazine's 2012 top fifty websites), and a contributor to publications like The Gloss, Maximum Middle Age, The Mary Sue, Dead Housekeeping, and The Frisky.
You could say that I'm kind of a big deal.
In 2012, I co-founded the Hurricane Sandy Book Drive in response to the destruction caused by tropical storm/hurricane/ornery squall Sandy. By 2014, THSBD delivered over 20,000 donated books to storm survivors in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
In March of 2013, NY1 News named us as Queens People of the Week for our aforementioned literacy work. If you enjoy dorky rambling, extreme terror, and crippling embarrassment you can watch our interview here.
